A ham radio "net" is an on-air gathering of amateur radio operators with common interests, such as emergency preparedness, hobbies, or locale, using amateur radio as their communication medium. During these nets people can check in, listen to a training topic, participate in a roundtable discussion, contact others, share important information, or just shoot the bull in what is called a "ragchew".
The Carteret County Amateur Radio Society has its "Carteret County Emergency Net" each Tuesday evening at 7:30pm local time.
Our net is on the K4GRW (145.450) Newport repeater the first, second, and third Tuesday, and on the W3ENK (444.825) Newport repeater
on the fourth Tuesday of each month. All interested Hams are invited to join us and ragchew.
